In the the early 1980's, Viking Engineering worked closely with the manufacturer of the Oil Discharge Monitor, known as the "Salwico" brand. The second generation equipment, the "Marpoil", was developed by Consilium Marine in Sweden and during these years, Viking Engineering acted as a sole agent for this region.
Since the beginning of 1990, we are the manufacturer of "Marpoil". We have during the years, developed and modified the product to meet new criterion adopted by legislative bodies and to accommodate for monitoring oil-like noxious liquid substances. This was followed by a successful approval by the Singapore Marine Department and other Administrations of Shipping and Navigation Boards and we have by now delivered more than 350 units to the world tanker fleet.
Our "Marpoil" Oil Discharge Monitor (ODM) is well recognized by the marine industry and we maintain a strong position on the grounds of world-wide sales and service representation.
