System Description

Three wires PT100 temperature sensors are fitted in way of the bearing locations and the pump body casing of the cargo- and ballast pumps. The sensors are connected to intrinsically safe temperature transmitters.

The sensor signals are carried via a set of intrinsically active barriers to a common cabinet displaying the individual sensor signal. Two contact settings would be used for the alarm and trigger function from a common PLC unit.

In addition to the temperature and tripping functions, push buttons may be installed for remote operated emergency shut down of each individual pump.
